PANO - The 8th Military Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Congress was successfully concluded on the afternoon of November 29th.
During 3 working days, the Congress accurately reviewed the major achievements and limitations in the military youth movements and the performance of military youth organizations at all levels over the past 5 years, discussed a number of ideas and proposals, and finally passed the political report containing the objectives, tasks, measures addressing the limitations of youth movements, and the Military Youth Union’s action plan for the next 5 years (2012-2017).
Speaking at the closing session, Deputy Chief of the General Department of Politics, Lieutenant General Dao Duy Minh underlined that the delegates had made a special effort, heightened their responsibility and brought into full play unity, democracy and creativity over the past three days to contribute to the success.
The Deputy Chief of the General Department of Politics also asked the Military Youth Union Committee of the 2012-2017 tenure to deploy its action plan right after the end of the Congress, and delegates to pass on the Congress’s spirit and resolve to youth movements in units across the Army.
The Congress also voted for 19 delegates to represent the military youth in the upcoming 10th National Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Congress.
