At each stop, Senior Captain Pham Tien Dung, Deputy Chief of Staff of Naval Region 2, and the delegation warmly inquired after the officers and soldiers and delivered meaningful Tet gifts from the Party Committee and the Command of the Naval Region 2, and organizations and individuals from the mainland.

“Each gift sent from the mainland, whether a green dong leaf, a packet of fragrant tea, or a red lucky envelope, carries the heartbeat of people across the country toward the sea and islands. This is an invaluable source of spiritual strength that helps every soldier stand firm,” said Capt. Dung.

On DK1 platforms, the Tet atmosphere was full and warm. Laughter echoed as troops and the delegation members gathered to make banh chung (square glutinous rice cake) and prepare year-end meals, highlighting comradeship and unity. They sang together; songs and melodies rising above the sound of the waves blurred the distance between the mainland and distant seas.

During the visits, Sr. Capt. Pham Tien Dung extended Tet greetings, and presented pre-Tet gifts to on-duty officers and soldiers aboard Ship 637 of Naval Region 5.
