The competition featured 16 platoons from 12 units and localities under MR2 taking charge of training recruits in 2025. The competition's content included the building of fortifications in the combat shelter at platoon level; general assessments in military, political, logistics and technical contents; AK riffle shooting (lesson 1); grenade throwing (lesson 1); explosive charging (lesson 1); practice of individual tactical movements in offensive combat; armed and unarmed line-up regulations; and frog-style swimming.

Speaking at the event, Major General Nguyen Dang Khai, Second-in-command and Chief of Staff of MR2, underlined that this year, MR2 has innovated the structure and methods of the competition, concentrating on instructing units to build battlefields where the enemy uses reconnaissance devices, such as UAVs, and applied digital and information technology, with a focus on practical contents.

The event aimed to evaluate the training capability of chains-of-command and the training outcomes of recruits. It also served as a foundation for MR2 to enhance the training quality of officers at all levels, contributing to improving the overall quality of training for recruits in the years to come.
