Senior Colonel Nguyen Nhu Bach, Deputy Political Chief of Military Region 2, chaired the event. Senior Colonel Ngo Anh Thu, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the People’s Army Newspaper (PAN), attended the event and delivered a lecture on covering military-defense events in the military press and the new trends of online newspapers.

According to Senior Colonel Ngo Anh Thu, the military press plays an important role in the Party’s revolutionary cause. Facing the requirements of the national construction and defense cause in the current context, the military press needs to be reinforced and develop strongly, contributing to fulfilling all assigned missions and building firm people-heart posture, deserving to be a pioneer force on the ideological and cultural front and a bridge connecting the Party, State, and military and the people.

The military press is one of the key force of the Vietnamese revolutionary press. The military press always promptly cover events, well perform information dissemination to encourage people and troops to join hands to contribute to the national construction and defense cause.

Currently, the military press is enhancing information dissemination on emulation drives, promoting outstanding examples and good deeds, highlighting contribution of the armed forces to dealing with non-traditional security threats such as natural disasters, epidemics, and so on. Theses activities help enhance trust of troops and people in the Party’s leadership and the achievements of the renewal process.

During the course, Senior Colonel Ngo Anh Thu updated trainees with skills of writing news for the online version of the PAN and share experience in working with social media.

Speaking at the event, Senior Colonel Nguyen Nhu Bach thanked Senior Colonel Ngo Anh Thu and delegates from the PAN for giving meaningful knowledge to the military region’s troops. He hoped that the PAN will continue reflecting activities of the armed forces of Military Region 2 and the local authorities.

The course witnessed the participation of 115 collaborators of the Military Region 2 Newspaper from relevant units of the military region.
