The delegation also mentioned the high risk of COVID-19 outbreak in Huu Lung district as many of its citizens are working in Van Trung, Quang Chau, and Dinh Tram industrial zones in Bac Giang province’s Viet Yen district, a COVID-19 hotspot in Vietnam.

They asked Regiment 12 to embrace higher levels’ directives on pandemic prevention and control, promote information dissemination to raise troops’ awareness of and responsibility for the work, and strictly observe the Health Ministry’s “5K” regulations, namely “Khau trang” (facemask), “Khu khuan” (disinfection), “Khoang cach” (distancing), “Khong tu tap” (no gathering), and “Khai bao y te” (health declaration).

The mission asked the unit to strictly maintain training activities and combat readiness regulations amid the COVID-19 pandemic, closely follow the development of the virus, and pay attention to taking care of troops’ lives.

The Military Command of Huu Lung district was urged to make recommendations to local leadership to effectively manage and prevent the virus from spreading in quarantine zones.

The unit should anticipate the situation and develop detailed plans to contain the virus, contributing to ensuring the success of the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure.
