* The Military Region 3 Command launched a tree-planting movement themed “Forever grateful to President Ho Chi Minh” in the presence of its Commander, Lieutenant General Vu Hai San.
After the launching ceremony, its affiliated units planted over 100,000 trees of different species.

* This year, officers and soldiers of Military Region 1 has planned to plant nearly 67,000 timber and fruit trees, and take care of 164,000 trees.
* Over the past years, the Yen Bai provincial Military Command has well responded to the National Tree-planting Festival to embellish their barracks while actively getting involved in forest fire-fighting. In this year’s movement, they planted more than 10,000 shade trees around their training grounds and technical depots.
* In Hai Phong city, Brigade 134 of the Signal Corps in association with the Road Management Division No.1 of the Directorate for Roads of Vietnam planted around 1,000 trees along Tan Vu - Lach Huyen highway. The program aimed to raise troops’ awareness of the importance of tree planting and strengthen the relationship among organizations in their stationed locations.
* Over the past five years, Depot KV4 of the Department of Weaponry and Equipment under the General Department of Technical Services has planted and taken care of more than 64,000 trees to beautify their barracks.
This year, it has planned to plant another 7,000 trees.
*Similarly, units of the Nam Dinh provincial Military Command also planted over 3,000 trees.
