As for the 2017-2020 period, contractors have implemented the construction mostly in the ground-ready area. So far, 17.2% of the workload has been completed, and the section running through Dak Nong, Dak Lak, Dong Thap, Binh Phuoc and Tay Ninh provinces has met quality requirements. In the coming time, the management boards of the project in Military Regions 5, 7 and 9 are to direct the contractors to focus all resources on the construction of the route in line with the set contents.
Addressing the conference, Senior Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang hailed related units and contractors and thanked Party Committees and authorities of relevant localities for their support for the implementation of the project. In the coming time, he required the units and contractors to review and update plans for the project to be in line with the schedule and progress. Mass mobilization work should also be conducted well to help people better aware of the construction as well as the policy’s significance.
General Giang laid stress on inspection and supervision to ensure the quality of the project. Outstanding individuals and groups should be rewarded promptly so as to encourage them at work. He asked local authorities to provide more favorable conditions for units and contractors to clear difficulties during the implementation of the project.
