The workshop aimed to clarify awareness, viewpoints, scientific and practical basis; review achievements and shortcomings in the implementation of digital transformation in the field of military and defense so as to make recommendations to the Central Military Commission (CMC) and MND on making of policies, solutions and orientations for digital transformation in the ministry.

Delegates at the event

Via the event, delegates also supplemented and adjusted the draft project to submit to the CMC’s Standing Committee and MND, contributing to promoting digital transformation in military units, meeting all requirements in military construction in the current context.

Concluding the conference, General Vinh hailed Command 86 and the members of the project drafting board for actively making good preparation for the project with high quality.

An overview of the conference

He underscored that the building of digital transformation project is very important. Therefore, all relevant agencies should promote their determination and mobilize all resources to ensure the task implementation. In addition, they need to build up the project in line with viewpoints and policies of the Party, State, CMC and MND on digital transformation. The content of the project must reflect the MND’s visions and goals in digital transformation with a specific and feasible road-map. Besides, they were asked to overcome all shortcomings and limitations to accelerate digital transformation in the whole military, address all infrastructure problems, among others.

The deputy defense minister also assigned the project drafting board to note down all comments and suggestions of functional agencies and units; and closely follow directions of higher levels to fulfill the task.
