PV GAS and EY kick off consultancy projects on digital transformation strategy and implementation of ERP software.

The digital transformation work is seen as a must to save time and money, increase productivity, quality, efficiency and competitiveness, and meet the requirements of the market and the process of international integration.

Over the past time, the digital transformation work has been implemented synchronously in PV GAS and the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam), taking advantage of the infrastructure system and database.

PetroVietnam affirmed that the Group must connect all its subsidiaries via building an extensive data system (Bigdata), applying Cloud Computing technologies, Internet of Things (IoT), and Artificial intelligence (AI) to operation. Along with the resolutions to promote digital transformation in technology infrastructure, the group has boosted the synchronous implementation of “digital culture.”

In 2020, PV GAS and AES Corporation signed an agreement on “Son My LNG terminal project” via online form.

As a key member of PetroVietnam, PV GAS has actively enhanced digital transformation and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), contributing to successfully implementing the group’s strategy.

In 2015, PV GAS hired Ernst & Young Vietnam Limited (EY) to conduct surveys and access the feasibility of ERP implementation in the corporation.

From 2016 to 2021, PV GAS conducted restructuring organizational structure in its units and committees, boosted the application of information technology in production, business and internal management, meeting the standards of ERP software.

During the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, PV GAS promoted the application of information technology and digital information in production and business activities, including work from home, online remote meeting and working tools, digital signature, and others.

This year, PV GAS has approved a plan to deploy ERP software in accordance with the corporation’s business development strategy and compatible with PetroVietnam’s ERP software to raise operational efficiency amid challenges posed by trends in fossil fuel extraction, green energy transition, and complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In particular, PV GAS has established the steering committee for digital transformation and ERP. In August 2022, PV GAS and Ernst & Young Vietnam Limited launched consultancy projects on digital transformation strategy and ERP software.

Meanwhile, PV GAS has constantly improved its IT system and data management to meet the increasing demand for IT applications and ensure security and network safety.
