At the conference, participants discussed and evaluated outcomes of the five-year implementation and pointed out shortcomings and lessons learnt from the implementation of Resolution No.765-NQ/QUTW. They also proposed approaches and solutions to improving the quality of training and combat readiness of units in the whole military so as to better fulfill assigned missions.
Over the course of five years, on implementing the resolution, chains-of-command and Party committees of units in the whole military have issued leadership resolutions in a timely manner to reform training contents and methods, commanding and organizing mechanisms for the work, training programs which closely attach training to combat. Logistic services have also been in line with the motto of “Basic, practical, and steady.”
Addressing the conference, General Giang hailed units with outstanding results in implementing the resolution over the past five years. He required that units continue embracing and carrying out the resolution in an effective manner and continue making reforms in training, meeting the requirements of modern hi-tech warfare, and building a revolutionary, regular, elite and gradually-modernized military.
Also at the conference, the MND honored 116 groups with high achievements in training over the past five years (2013-2018). The units include the People’s Army Newspaper and eight groups earning high results at the eighth National Sports Festival and the ASEAN Army Rifle Meet 2018.
