PANO – The General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army on July 26 held a teleconference to review training in the first half of 2017 and safety and security for the building of military projects in the whole army in the period of 2016-2017.
Lieutenant General Pham Hong Huong, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, chaired the event.
The whole army has strictly observed Resolution 765 of the Central Military Commission; instructions of the Chief of the General Staff on military and defense work in 2017 and embraced instructions and resolutions issued by higher authorities.
Military Party committees at all levels issued resolutions on implementation of training missions in 2017. Troops across the Army have been well aware of and strictly carried out all assigned missions.
The whole army also ensured absolute safety and security for the building of military projects at all levels. Many units have applied new technical initiatives to improve the productivity.
Concluding the conference, General Huong asked the units to thoroughly grasp the concept of and well implement training missions while focusing on carrying out live fire exercises. They should well prepare for the exercise “DT-17” to achieve good results and ensure safety in building military projects, contributing to raising the quality of training. In addition, units in the whole army should continue reducing discipline problems and ensuring safety in training.
