Military units sewed silk ensembles and gave gifts to 1,489 heroic Vietnamese mothers who are being cared for by the units and provided medical equipment for five convalescent centers for national contributors, and so on.

These practical activities of the whole military’s troops have contributed to the whole Party and people’s efforts in taking care of material and spiritual life for policy beneficiaries and national contributors and educating troops about the gratitude tradition of the Vietnamese people.

Over the past time, the Party Organization, authorities, troops, and people of Tien Giang have made great efforts and heightened responsibility for implementing policies for people with meritorious services to the revolution. The province currently has more than 132,000 national contributors and beneficiaries, including over 35,500 martyrs, more than 5,980 heroic Vietnamese mothers (of whom 168 mothers still live), more than 2,430 wounded and sick soldiers, more than 2,392 prisons of war, and more than 2,000 revolutionaries exposed to toxic chemicals.
