MND inspects military units’ task performance in 2024
PANO - On November 20, a mission of the Ministry of National Defense, headed by Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Binh, Deputy Chief of the General Staff (GS) of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA), checked task performance at Brigade 96 under the Department of Electronic Warfare and Brigade 683 under the Department of Transport of the General Department of Logistics.
Reportedly, since the beginning of this year, the two brigades have thoroughly grasped and seriously implemented directions and resolutions of higher levels, well observed combat readiness regulations, and kept a close watch on situational developments in the stationed areas and then made timely suggestions to effectively deal with any circumstances.

At the same time, they have paid due attention to building healthy and strong Party cells at all levels and strengthening personnel organization according to higher levels’ instructions. They have also held emulation movements on the occasion of major events of the country and the military.

At the working sessions, General Binh applauded the two brigades’ attainments over the past time. He requested them to further maintain combat readiness posture, make accurate forecasts and assessment of situational developments, raise training quality, and promote regularity building and discipline observance.
Meanwhile, the units were asked to effectively organize activities in celebration of the VPA’s upcoming 80th foundation anniversary and the 35th anniversary of the Whole-people Defense Festive Day (December 22), actively run mass mobilization projects, and pay much attention to taking care of troops’ spiritual and material life.
