Maritime patrol is an activity aimed at affirming the role and responsibility of the militia and self-defense forces in coordinating with relevant agencies to uphold security and public order within Nha Trang city.

The city’s military command has built plans and conducted training for the maritime militia forces in line with superior directives. Militia troops from 10 communes and wards were mobilized to participate in the training. It collaborated with the Khanh Hoa Provincial Border Guard Command and the Naval Academy to deliver specialized training contents covering the Law of the Sea of Vietnam, methods of patrolling and monitoring at sea and islands, procedures for cooperative inspections, and the apprehension of vessels violating national sovereignty or maritime laws.

Speaking at the event, Vice Standing Chairman of the Nha Trang Municipal People's Committee Luu Thanh Nhan urged all participating forces to strictly adhere to the orders of their commanding officers, execute assigned duties accurately, foster unity, and support one another in overcoming challenges encountered during missions.

The patrol formation moved in a North-eastern direction covering a range of 20-30 nautical miles. Colonel Le Xuan Kien, Commanding Officer of the Nha Trang City Military Command, emphasized the absolute necessity for forces to rigorously comply with the orders of their commanding officers and section leaders, follow designated routes and speeds, maintain proper distances, and regularly report on the situations to the Nha Trang City Military Command and Hon Ro Port Checkpoint.
