PANO - Military Zone 3 has just held a conference to review the implementation of its political and military missions in the first half of this year.
Accordingly, the zone's armed forces improved training quality, and achieved good results in competitions and sport festivals held by the Ministry of National Defense. Particularly, the zone opened 89 courses to provide defense-security knowledge for its troops.

For the remaining months of this year, the zone planned to continue closely following higher levels' directives and instructions, continuously strengthen its personnel as well as improve training quality, contributing to successfully fulfilling all assigned tasks.
* The Signal Arm has just organized a similar event to review its missions in the first 6 months and work out major tasks for the second half of this year.
The arm focused on directing its constituent units to comprehensively carry out all assigned missions with good results. Notably, their troops always ensured logistics, technical and financial work for training while maintaining high combat readiness to firmly protecting national sovereignty over sea and islands and in border areas.
For the rest of this year, the arm will concentrate on deploying a reliable military communication system to ensure communications in the army, improving combat readiness for its troops and being ready for unscheduled missions such as search and rescue mission or natural disaster relief.
* The Air Force Officer Training School has just held a political-military conference to review the implementation of its missions over the past time and map out tasks for the last six months of this year. According to reports, the school closely followed higher levels' instructions to well implement its assigned training missions. Its cadets finished all exams with 97.8 percent of pass and 70.7 percent of credit, distinction or high distinction. The school had two research projects at the ministerial level, three other projects and three initiatives at the general staff level, 23 projects and 6 initiatives at the basic level.
