Military units respond to 2019-nCoV
PANO – The Dak Nong provincial Military Command held a meeting on February 6 to roll out its plan to prevent the acute respiratory disease caused by the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) during the upcoming enlistment drive.
Following higher levels’ instructions, the unit will check youths’ health, shorten the troop handover time, and promote information dissemination to help enlisted youths’ families understand the disease.
At the meeting, the provincial Military Command briefed participants on the development of the virus, equipped them with preventive measures, and updated them on plans to prevent the disease.
In response to the complicated development of the virus, the Air Defense-Air Force Academy has taken different measures to prevent the spread of the disease.
Accordingly, the academy has updated its staff and students on information relating to the disease, set up quick-response teams, cooperated with local units to follow the development of the disease, and is prepared to deal with any circumstances that may arise.
The unit has also provided troops with methods to prevent the infection of the disease, regularly met and checked their health, quarantined those who have symptoms of the disease, strictly observed hygiene safety regulations, and applied measures to prevent the disease caused by nCoV and other seasonal ones.
Lieutenant Colonel Kiem Chi Lang, Chief of the Military Medical Department of the Air Defense-Air Force Academy, said that all troops are equipped with preventive measures and ready to respond to the disease.
