The competition features the participation of nine teams with 83 athletes from various units under the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard Command. Over the four-day event (from July 1 to 4), the athletes will compete in several events: a 3,000m armed obstacle race, the "strong soldiers" contest, swimming with weapons and equipment, obstacle crossing, and unarmed combat martial arts for men.

In his opening speech, Senior Colonel Nguyen Cong Tuan emphasized that this year's competition is an opportunity to evaluate the quality of training and physical fitness of the units under the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard Command. It is also to select outstanding individuals to participate in the national border guard competition. Additionally, it provides a chance for agencies and units to interact, learn from each other, and gain experience that will help improve their training quality in the future.

* On the same day, in Long Xuyen city (An Giang province), Artillery Brigade 6 under Military Region 9 launched the qualifying round of the Defense Competition 2024. Nearly 100 athletes, coaches, and referees from the three units of Artillery Brigade 6, Engineering Brigade 25, and Brigade 962 participated in the event.

During the three-day qualifying round, athletes will compete in four sports, namely badminton, table tennis, volleyball, and tennis.
