Chief of the GDP General Luong Cuong sent congratulation flowers to the unit.
The event was attended by Chief of the Department of Internal Security Protection Major General Bui Trong Vinh, and representatives of units inside and outside the military.
On June 19, 1968, the unit was established, meeting the task requirements in carrying out the internal security protection mission during the national resistance war against U.S. invaders.
Throughout its construction and development, the unit has always been determined to overcome difficulties and promptly accomplished all assigned tasks.
Over the past time, the unit has synchronously taken measures to perform tasks, collected and addressed documents and reported to higher levels to assess situations and protect the Party, State and military’s guidelines and policies. Meanwhile, it has also detected and addressed spyware programs, fixed server system vulnerabilities.
It has also worked with functional organs to collect secret documents in order to protect military and State secrets, while ensuring safety for activities of the Party, State, and international guests visiting and working with the Ministry of National Defense and important events of the country and military.

With remarkable achievements over the past time, on the occasion of its 55th founding anniversary, the Reconnaissance Unit was presented the third-class Fatherland Protection Order.
Addressing the ceremony, Major General Bui Trong Vinh congratulated the unit on its achievements, requesting it to continue to observe the Party, State, and military’s guidelines and policies on protecting national security in general and internal security of the military in particular. The troops should try their best to raise competence, apply science and technology in task performance, work with relevant units and organs inside and outside the military to accomplish all assigned tasks, among others.
