Commando Task Force Brigade 1 honored with Fatherland Protection Order
PANO – Task Force Brigade 1 under the Commando Corps held a ceremony on April 14 to receive the third-class Fatherland Protection Order and mark the 55th anniversary of its foundation day (April 15, 1968 – 2023).

At the event, delegates recalled the 55-year establishment and development of the unit. Founded on April 15, 1968 in Hanoi to meet the requirement of the resistance war against American imperialists, the brigade obtained numerous feats-of-arms, contributing to national protection and defense cause.
In recent years, despite higher task requirements and more complicated situations, the unit’s troops have been fully aware of their responsibility and effectively carried out assigned missions.

At the event, authorized by the State President, Major General Pham Truong Son pinned the third-class Fatherland Protection Order onto the brigade’s “Determined-to-Win” military flag and handed over the certificate to the unit’s leaders.
Speaking at the event, Major General Pham Truong Son acknowledged and congratulated the brigade on its feats-of-arms and achievements over the past more than five decades. Emphasizing the requirements of national protection in the new period, GS’s Deputy Chief requested the unit’s troops to focus on grasping the Party’s political guidelines, especially the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress; building politically-, ideologically-, and organizationally-strong brigade; raising their political stance and combat readiness vigilance and determination to undertake and well fulfill assigned missions.

The brigade should also focus on achieving the target of building a comprehensively strong, exemplary, and outstanding unit; raising the quality of joint training and exercises with other military and civilian forces; further strengthening the quick response force of the Ministry of National Defense to successfully deal with circumstances occurring in the locality where it is stationed and across the country.
