Military regions hold Party meetings

* According to a report delivered at the meeting of Military Region 9's Party Committee, the military region's Party Committee directed relevant units to well implement resolutions of the 12^th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the 10^th Military Party Congress, and the 9^th Congress of the Military Region's Party organization. They led their troops to strictly implement combat readiness missions, grasp  situation and collaborate with local authorities to deal with unexpected issues, develop socio-economy and reinforce defense-security posture. This year, the region's command successfully held many military drills and competitions while successfully fulfilling Party and political work and ensuring logistics supplies and technical service for all assigned missions.

In 2017, the region's command has planned to focus on three major breakthrough tasks, namely improving training quality, well maintaining regulations and disciplines, and implementing national defense and military missions at the grassroots level. In addition, they will continue thoroughly grasping the fourth Resolution of the 12^th Party Central Committee to build strong Party organizations in terms of politics, ideology and organization.

Addressing the meeting, Minister Lich applauded the military region's achievements over the past years, adding that they should continue realizing higher levels' resolutions and directions on defense and military mission. They should also focus on building firm political stance for troops, improving the military region's combined strength, contributing to meeting all tasks' requirements in the current context.

* The same day, Deputy Defense Minister, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh attended the 4^th meeting of Military Region 4's 10^th Party Committee, reviewing the region's Party and political work last year and rolling out its new tasks in 2017.

Accordingly, the military region's directed its affiliate units to complete all the set targets of the previous Party congress's resolution with good results. They worked with local authorities to build strong defensive areas as well as the whole people's defense and people's security postures, contributing to maintaining political stability and social order in the region.
