Party Central Committee’s resolution to be strictly observed
PANO - The Central Military Commission (CMC) on December 15 opened a training conference for key cadres of the whole army under the chair of General Ngo Xuan Lich, Politburo member, CMC Deputy Secretary and Defense Minister. The conference aimed to instructed agencies and units across the military to realize the fourth Resolution of the 12th Party Central Committee.

Addressing the opening session of the conference, General Ngo Xuan Lich stressed that the resolution and conclusion adopted at the fourth meeting of the 12th Party Central Committee hold a long-term strategic vision, and is very important to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 12th National Party Congress, especially Resolution 04-NQ/TW on “Enhancing Party building and revamping; preventing and controlling the ideological, political and lifestyle degradation as well as internal ‘self-evolution’ and ‘self-transformation’.”
The resolution shows a high sense of determination of the Party in building and revamping the Party with serious and strict revision of shortcomings, pinpointing expressions of degradation in political-ideological and ethical fields. On that basis, General Ngo Xuan Lich set out strict requirements for cadres at the meeting.

The participants first listened to Senior Lieutenant General Luong Cuong, member of the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee, CMC Permanent member and Director of the General Department of Politics, who briefed the fourth resolution of the 12th Party Central Committee. The resolution shows a high sense of determination of the Party to build and revamp Party organization and also defines four groupings of both immediate and long-term solutions to the issue.
Major General Nguyen Minh Khai, Deputy Director of the Political Academy, then gave a lecture on the resolution’s content titled “Major guidelines and policies on renewing development models and increasing growth quality, productivity, and competitiveness of the economy.” Other resolution’s contents were presented in the second session of the conference held in the afternoon the same day.
On behalf of the CMC, Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Nghia, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics, provided guidance on the study and implementation of the resolution for key cadres in the whole army, stressing the purposes, significance, requirements, contents and methods for the criticism and self-criticism of Party committees and Party members of every Party organization in line with the fourth Resolution of the 12th Party Central Committee on building and revamping the Party organization. Accordingly, the criticism and self-criticism must be substantial and based on comradeship, solidarity among Party members, leaving no room for hostile forces to sabotage the Party, State, army and the building of socialism of Vietnam.
