On February 27, the Defense Minister and his entourage inspected the region, where he was briefed on its task performance and future missions.

According to the region commanders, forces under the command have always been strictly maintaining combat and emergency readiness and emergency preparedness. Local units and agencies have focused on improving quality of training, exercises, and education on defense matters.

The command’s reformed exercises have met the current requirements and resulted in practical outcomes. Meanwhile, the forces have also actively participated in mitigating consequences of natural disasters and environmental crises.

General Ngo Xuan Lich highly appreciated the command’s achievements including its coordination with the authorities of six provinces in the central Vietnam on socio-economic development and defense-security maintenance.

The Defense Minister on this occasion also tasked the command to thoroughly grasp local situation to make suitable and realistic plans; focus its training on durability and mobility to be ready to operate in any areas; pay attention to renewing and improving the quality of public relations, especially in remote and mountainous areas; promote qualified young officers to proper positions; give correct recommendations on necessary issues to help local leaders in defense-security matters; and continue to pay tribute to national contributors and repatriate remains of martyrs inside and outside the country.

During his working trip to Military Region 4, General Ngo Xuan Lich and his entourage offered incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh at Kim Lien Memorial Site.
