Defense Minister inspects combat readiness training at Division 341
PANO - General Ngo Xuan Lich, Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission and Minister of National Defense on February 26 led a mission to inspect the combat readiness training work at Division 341 of Military Region 4.

The division’s leaders reported the task performance in unit building, training and combat readiness on General Lich.
Although it is now mainly responsible for training and developing the reserve force, Division 341 still focused on improving the quality of its combat readiness training, maintaining military discipline and striving to buid a strong unit of regularity, elite and modernization.
It has closely teamed up with localities to build on the reserve force with a high quality. It also joins hands with localities in reducing poverty and eliminating hunger as well in building new-style rural areas.

At the meeting with leaders and troops of the division, General Lich hailed all officers' and soldiers' efforts, its achievements, saying that Division 341 has a long and glorious tradition with numerous victories in both wartime and peacetime. For its outstanding achievements, the unit has twice been conferred the title of Hero of the People’s Armed Forces. General Lich asked its cadres and troops to remember, keep and bring on its tradition to fulfill their missions, heighten vigilance, actively build forces, be ready to undertake and accomplish any assigned missions.
Situated in a locality with socio-economic difficulties, the unit should continue tightening its ties with local people, party committee, authorities, and follow closely the local situation to deny contingencies or tactical surprises in any circumstances.
As part of the visit, General Ngo Xuan Lich offered incenses to the Division’s martyrs, and planted a tree in front of the Hall of Fame of the division.
