Reports revealed that this year, the Party committees and chains-of-Command of Military Region 3 and its units have thoroughly studied and strictly implemented resolutions and directives of the Party, the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, and the military region. They have closely cooperated with local Party committees and authorities to direct the implementation of military and defense missions.
Thanks to the timely direction, units under the military region have successfully fulfilled their missions, contributing to ensuring political security and public order for local socio-economic development. In particular, they effectively ensured security and safety for the 13th National Party Congress and the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and people’s councils at all levels in the 2021-2026 tenure.

Together with effective COVID-19 prevention and control, the military region has successfully hosted training courses, exercises at all levels, contests, and maneuvers. Party and political work has been carried out with positive results.
In 2021, under the leadership of the Party Committee and Chain-of-Command of the Vietnam People’s Navy, naval units have well completed their missions. The service has closely followed situational developments and made recommendations to the Central Military Commission and Ministry of National Defense to have proper policies to firmly protect national sovereignty over sea and islands and develop maritime economy.
In the year, the service has actively carried out contests, exercises, and activities in celebration of the 60th anniversary of Ho Chi Minh Trail at Sea. In addition, naval units have flexibly adjusted their training plans in line with the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic. They have also strictly observed regulations and discipline.
Speaking at the conferences, General Phan Van Giang praised the achievements obtained by troops of Military Region 3’s armed forces and the Vietnam People’s Navy in 2021.

The defense minister emphasized that over the past time the Party Committee and Chain-of-Command of Military Region 3 have directed units to effectively carry out resolutions of the Party congresses at all levels, decisions, and conclusions of the Party Central Committee and the Politburo. Units under the military region have also contributed to firmly building the whole people’s defense posture in combination with the people’s security posture and ensuring political security and public order.
He urged the military region to raise leadership capability and combat power of its Party organizations and build its Party Organization with political, ideological, moral, and organizational strength to lead the military region’s armed forces fulfill all assigned missions.
Speaking at the Naval Service’s conference, General Phan Van Giang requested the service’s Party Committee and Chain-of-Command to closely follow and accurately evaluate the situation, so as to give timely advice to the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense to effectively deal with emerging issues and direct the implementation of training and combat readiness missions.
Furthermore, the Vietnam People’s Navy should continue augmenting the quality of political education, consolidating relationship between cadres and troops, raising its troops’ determination to fulfill assigned missions, and preparing for all unexpected circumstances.
