Deputy Defense Minister Senior Lieutenant General Vu Hai San inspected public investment disbursement for 2025 at Military Region 3 and the Naval Service. He praised both units for meeting progress targets, ensuring quality in major projects. The defense leader urged them to accelerate progress of projects, promote supervision, and prevent corruption and wastefulness.
Praising the Naval Service for its effective management of projects despite a wide project scope, Gen. San requested it to work out stronger measures for delayed projects and boost close coordination with localities to achieve full disbursement.
* Leading an MND delegation to inspect military and defense task performance at the Border Guard Command of Lang Son province, GS’s Deputy Chief Sr. Lt. Gen. Huynh Chien Thang acknowledged the unit’s strict observance of combat readiness regulations and discipline and good implementation of Party and political work.
He directed the unit to closely grasp situational developments, effectively manage border incidents, enhance patrols, prevent smuggling and illegal crossings, boost mass mobilization work and border diplomacy, as well as build a comprehensively strong, typical and exemplary unit.
* The same day, Deputy Defense Minister Sr. Lt. Gen. Nguyen Van Hien and Deputy Chief of the GS Sr. Lt. Gen. Pham Truong Son attended a ceremony held in Da Nang by Air Force Division 372 under the Air Defense - Air Force Service to mark its 50th foundation day and receive the Second-class Fatherland Protection Order.

Over the past five decades, the division has operated various modern aircraft, mastered weapons and equipment, and consistently fulfilled its combat readiness and training missions, earning numerous honors. Eight groups and 15 individuals of the unit have received the title Hero of the People’s Armed Forces.
* During the inspection session at Division 2 of Military Region 5, GDP’s Deputy Director Sr. Lt. Gen. Truong Thien To praised the unit for its effective performance of party and political work. He required Division 2 to conduct training and exercises in line with combat realities, strictly observe discipline and combat readiness, and strengthen the “Determined-to-Win” emulation movement. He emphasized building the image of Division 2’s soldiers as trusted by high-ranking leaders, loved by the people, and victorious in every mission.
* At Tay Ninh Provincial Military Command and its affiliate Border Guard Command, and Military Region 7’s Division 5, the MND’s inspection mission, led by GDP’s Deputy Director Lt. Gen. Do Xuan Tung, highly appreciated the unit’s training, combat readiness posture, military and defense task performance and building of firm defensive areas as well as border management and protection.
The GDP leader urged them to enhance digital transformation in administrative reforms, pro-active handling of situations, and give suggestions to contribute to the success of the upcoming Vietnam - Cambodia border defense friendship exchange.
* During the inspection at Regiment 2 of Division 395, Military Region 3, GS’s Deputy Chief Maj. Gen. Nguyen Ba Luc hailed it for the attainments. He asked the unit to improve the quality of night drills to ensure the closeness to combat reality, combine political education and military training, and enhance personnel training.
