Delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate Go Mang cultural house.

Deputy Director of the General Department of Political Affairs (GDP) Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung attended the event.

The MND took VND 2 million from the “For the Poor” Fund in 2025 to construct this cultural house which covers an area of 280 sq.m. Division 316 was assigned to conducting survey, designing and building it.

The facility includes a main hall, functional areas, activity yard, and supporting structures.

In addition to the MND’s funding, the project received contributions from local businesses and Phu Tho-based Hung Vuong General Hospital for hall equipment. Local residents helped complete the landscaping and surroundings.

During the construction, despite challenging weather conditions, troops of Division 316 promoted high sense of responsibility, ensuring the progress, quality of the project. The division’s leadership regularly inspected and supervised the process, promptly addressing difficulties to ensure the project met technical and aesthetic standards.

In his address, Senior Colonel Lam Dung Tien, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of Division 316, said that this project is a vivid symbol of the close-knit bond between troops and people, reflecting the deep concern of the MND, the GDP, and Military Region 2 Command for the spiritual life of local people.

The officer emphasized that the house not only is a venue for cultural and community activities but also helps strengthen the great national unity and support the building of a new-style rural area and new cultural life at the grassroots level.

At the ceremony, local authorities expressed deep gratitude to the MND and other sponsors for helping build such a meaningful and well-equipped cultural facility. They pledged to manage and utilize the house effectively.

On behalf of the MND and the GDP, Lt. Gen. Do Xuan Tung presented a TV set to the cultural house and 30 gifts to local policy beneficiary families, national contributors, disadvantaged women, and needy students with good academic records. The Military Region 2 Command, Division 316, and local agencies, units and organizations also presented meaningful gifts to local people.

The operation of Go Mang cultural house is a clear testament to the strong and enduring bond between the military and the people, helping spread humanitarian values, reinforcing public trust in the Party, the State, and the military, and creating motivation for sustainable local development.
