Hon Khoai boasts diverse vegetation; however, prolonged and extreme drought conditions pose a significant fire risk. To address this, the Hon Khoai Island Forest Ranger Unit and the Hon Khoai Border Post frequently conduct joint patrols across the cluster. Their missions include preventing forest fire and fishermen’s forest encroachment, and maintaining security on the islands.
