On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the foundation day of the Vietnam People’s Army and the 35th anniversary of the Whole-People’s Defense Festive Day, the State President signed decisions on awarding Military Exploit Orders and Fatherland Protection Order to 34 senior VPA officers for their exceptional achievements in building the military, strengthening national defense, and protecting the Fatherland. 

At the ceremony, the Defense Minister presented the Third-class Military Exploit Orders to ten senior leaders from the MND, the General Staff, and the General Department of Political Affairs (GDP). The GDP's Chief Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet and Chief of the General Staff and Deputy Defense Minister General Nguyen Tan Cuong awarded First, Second, and Third-class Fatherland Protection Orders to 24 commanding officers from various agencies and units in the whole military.

Speaking at the event, General Giang, on behalf of the CMC and the MND, extended congratulations to the honorees. He emphasized that the awards reflect the Party and State’s recognition of their significant contributions to the VPA and the nation, serving as a source of pride for the recipients and the entire military.

The defense leader highlighted the vital role of senior military officers as the "core within the core" in fulfilling the missions entrusted to the military by the Party, State, and people. He urged the honorees to continue upholding their exemplary conduct, striving for excellence, and serving as role models, contributing to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the people in the new era.

On behalf of the honorees, Lieutenant General Le Duc Thai, Commander of the Vietnam Border Guard Command, expressed gratitude to the Party, State, CMC, and MND for recognizing their contributions. He extended thanks to leaders and soldiers in the whole military for their support and paid tribute to the heroic Vietnamese mothers, martyrs, and veterans who sacrificed for the nation’s independence and freedom.

General Thai pledged to enhance his political stance, morality, and professional capacity to further contribute to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation, deserving to the trust of the CMC, MND, and troops in the whole military.
