General Staff's Deputy Chief inspects Gia Lai Military and Border Guard Commands
PANO - Major General Ngo Minh Tien, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, visited and inspected the Gia Lai provincial Military and Border Guard Commands on March 5.
According to their reports, last year the commands embraced resolutions of the Central Military Commission, Ministry of National Defense, Military Region 5 and the Vietnam Border Guard Command, and offered constructive comments to help the provincial Party and People’s Committees fulfill military and defense missions. In addition, they also paid attention to carrying out policies for troops’ families and developing socio-economy and culture.
Speaking at the meeting, General Tien acknowledged and lauded achievements recorded by the provincial Military and Border Guard Commands last year. He asked the commands to continue embracing resolutions of the Party, Central Military Commission and Ministry of National Defense on defense and security missions, promoting their advisory role, coming up with new combat plans, cooperating with other forces to raise the efficiency of the implementation of defense and military tasks and to ensure political security and public order, taking good care of troops and their families and helping local people, especially those in border areas, revolutionary and needy areas, eliminate hunger and reduce poverty.
