The request was made by Lieutenant General Ngo Minh Tien, Deputy Chief of the General Staff while visiting the school on June 2.

Having checked the school’s task implementation, General Tien praised the unit for its significant achievements. Since the beginning of this year, the school has embraced and strictly exercised resolutions and instructions on education and training and effectively managed training activities.

Amid the complicated development of the COVID-19 pandemic, the unit adjusted its education and training program, so as to fulfil all assigned missions and prevent the virus from entering the school.

The Deputy Chief of General Staff urged the school to pay attention to organizing graduation examinations for its Vietnamese and Cambodia officers and promote ideological education for the to-be graduates to raise their resolve and fulfil all assigned missions in the future.

The Commando Officers Training School should effectively carry out military enrolment work in line with regulations and guidance of the Ministry of Education and Training and Defense Ministry’s Military Enrollment Board.

At the meeting with the school’s leaders, General Chiem also pointed out its shortcomings in carrying out missions over the past time and suggested some measures to raise effectiveness of its task implementation in the coming time.
