General staff leader praises Army Corps 3’s achievements
PANO – A mission of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, led by its Deputy Chief Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Binh, paid a working visit to Army Corps 3 on August 14.

Having inspected Mechanized Infantry Regiment 48 under Division 320, the mission was briefed on the task implementation of the Army Corps 3 Command and its agencies in the first seven months of this year as well as their orientations for the next five months.
According to the reports, over the past time, units under the army corps have embraced and strictly implemented resolutions and directives of higher levels, strictly maintained combat readiness, taken drastic measures to prevent and control the COVID-19 pandemic, conducted training as planned, and built comprehensively strong units.
The army corps comprehensively carried out Party, political, logistic, and technical work. It focused on implementing resolutions and directives of the Politburo and Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission on enhancing the movement “Studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thoughts, morals, and lifestyle.” It also promoted political and ideological education for troops, and successfully organized Party congresses at all levels.
On behalf of the working mission, General Binh acknowledged and praised outcomes recorded by Army Corps 3’s troops over the past time and asked the unit to continue embracing and carrying out resolutions and directives of higher levels.
In the context of the complicated development of COVID-19 pandemic, the army corps should have measures to ensure combat readiness, effectively organize training in accordance with the situation, promote mass mobilization activities, help local people and authorities build new-styled rural areas, eliminate hunger, and reduce poverty while building defensive areas and a strong defense posture.
