Over the past time, the Party Committee and the Chain-of-Command of the regiment have thoroughly implemented the directives and orders from higher levels. Tasks across various aspects have been comprehensively implemented focusing on key areas with good results. The political, ideological, and organizational situation is stable. The leadership capacity and combat strength of the Party committees Party and organizations have been enhanced. The unit’s officers and soldiers have shown strong political resolve, high sense of responsibility, and determination. Solidarity between the military troops and civilians have been maintained while the overall strength and combat readiness capabilities of the regiment have been continuously improved.

The regiment has regularly maintained strict combat readiness. The documents, plans, vehicles, and equipment for the combat readiness task have been inspected and supplemented according to regulations and in a timely and appropriate manner. The regiment has pro-actively developed response plans for natural disaster prevention and control, incident handling, and search and rescue operations, plans for ensuring combat readiness during the celebration of the August Revolution and the National Day. Thorough rehearsals of various scenarios have been organized, and preparations have been made to ensure the unit is ready to respond to any situation. The regiment is actively preparing for the exercise of shifting status of combat readiness and a table-top one-sided, two-level command and staff exercise as planned.

Speaking at the event, General Phan Van Giang praised the unit's achievements over the past eight months of 2024 and highly appreciated their maintenance of duty, especially during national holidays. The Minister of National Defense requested Regiment 209 to continue maintaining strict combat readiness, conducting proper training, physical training, sports activities to enhance the endurance, agility, and mobility of the troops. General Phan Van Giang also noted that the unit's leadership should regularly study to improving their capabilities in all areas, serving as exemplary role models for officers and soldiers within the unit.

Regarding the ongoing construction project of the unit, Minister Phan Van Giang urged investors and construction units to continue collaborating to make necessary adjustments, ensuring the quality, and highest effectiveness when the projects are put into use. He also requested the leadership of Regiment 209 to carefully consider before implementing new construction items, aiming to maximize the use of existing structures that are still in good condition to avoid wasting the budget.

On the occasion of the National Day and the 77th anniversary of the establishment of Regiment 209, General Phan Van Giang presented flowers to the regiment and extended his best wishes to all officers and soldiers of the unit.

Earlier in the day, on behalf of the State President, General Phan Van Giang presented decisions on the promotion of general ranks to key leaders of certain agencies and units. The ceremony was also attended by Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army.
