As Vietnam enters a new development phase leading toward the 14th National Party Congress in 2026, General Nguyen Trong Nghia urged Military Region 4 (MR4) to uphold the principle of "the people are the root," integrating defense with socio-economic development. He directed the force to implement General Secretary To Lam’s instructions and promote the "Uncle Ho’s soldiers" image across the military region.
General Nguyen Trong Nghia called for enhanced defense potential by assigning regular officers to grassroots military commands to secure national safety. For the Lunar New Year (Tet), he ordered MR4 to maintain combat readiness, ensure logistics, and prioritize the welfare of troops and disadvantaged locals.
Affirming MR4’s strategic role as both a frontline and rear base, General Nguyen Trong Nghia expressed confidence in the unit's continued unity and success. On this occasion, he presented gifts to the MR4 Command and provincial authorities of Nghe An and Ha Tinh.
