General Department of Logistics inspects post-Tet combat readiness of affiliates
PANO - On February 1, in Hanoi, a working delegation from the General Department of Logistics, led by Senior Colonel Pham Hong Thai, Deputy Chief-of-Staff of the General Department of Logistics, visited several specialized departments and units under the General Department of Logistics to inspect their post-Tet (lunar New Year) combat readiness.
During the inspection, the leaders of the departments and units briefed the delegation on how they had rigorously implemented directives and orders from higher authorities regarding combat readiness; enhanced political education and ideological management for officers and soldiers before, during, and after Tet; and taken meticulous care of the material and spiritual well-being of their personnel during the Tet festival. These measures have helped ensure that the troops remain focused and are fully prepared to carry out any assigned tasks.

The departments and units reported that they had developed detailed plans and successfully organized various cultural and sports activities during the Tet holiday. They also strictly managed troop numbers, weapons, technical equipment, and other assets, and ensured they were ready to execute orders at any moment.
Speaking at the inspection, Senior Colonel Pham Hong Thai commended the departments and units for maintaining a strict combat readiness posture and for their excellent implementation of policies designed to take care of the material and spiritual needs of personnel during the Tet festival in 2025. He emphasized that in the coming period, all departments and units must closely monitor the ideological status of their troops, provide thorough education on duty and responsibility, and ensure that everyone strictly adheres to directives, documents, and regulations at all levels.

Furthermore, he urged them to closely coordinate with higher-level agencies to ensure proper preparation for the planned merger of the General Department of Logistics and the General Department of Technical Services as scheduled by the Ministry of National Defense, so that this restructuring does not disrupt their ongoing tasks. In addition, they must pro-actively review and finalize the system of regulations to guarantee smooth operations after the merger, thereby maintaining stability and meeting the new task requirements.
