General Department of Logistics hails preparations of units for Army Games 2020
PANO – The General Department of Logistics held a meeting on July 3 in Hanoi to assign missions to Vietnamese troops competing in the “Field Kitchen” and “Military Medical Relay Race” events at the International Army Games 2020 (Army Games 2020).

The event was chaired by the general department’s Political Commissar Major General Do Van Thien and attended by its Deputy Commissar and Chief of Staff Major General Nguyen Hung Thang and representatives from its agencies.
At the meeting, Senior Colonel Vu Quang Mien, Deputy Chief of Staff of the General Department of Logistics, briefed delegates on the selection of personnel for the upcoming event. The report said that over the past time the Department of Military Supplies and Military Medical Department have closely cooperated with other military units to select competent troops and build training plans for participating teams. The units also studied to thoroughly embrace the regulations of the games.
Speaking at the event, Major General Do Van Thien highly appreciated and acknowledged the efforts and responsibilities of agencies and units in ensuring sufficient conditions for participating forces. He expressed his delight that all members of the teams are in good health conditions and show their enthusiasm and determination to achieve the highest results at the upcoming Army Games 2020.
Thien emphasized that participating in the international army games is a glorious mission, a responsibility, and an honor of Vietnamese military in general and participating troops in particular.
The general department’s Political Commissar hoped that Party committees and chains-of-command at all levels would check and continue providing the best service for participating troops to prepare for the games. Meanwhile, the teams’ personnel should embrace their honor and responsibility and exert their utmost efforts to bring glory to the Vietnamese military and the country.
Earlier, Major General Do Van Thien visited and checked the accommodations and training facilities for troops participating in the Army Games 2020.
