Major General Le Hien Van met with and assigned tasks for the delegation of military women.
As reported by Senior Colonel Bui Thi Lan Phuong, Head of the Military Women’s Board at the meeting, the military women’s delegation has 14 members, including 12 members voted from the 6th Military Women’s Congress. Those delegates are outstanding cadres and members of military women’s associations and some have been awarded and titled by the Party, State, Central Military Commission, Ministry of National Defense and Vietnam Women’s Union Central Committee.

In this national congress, military women are to clearly confirm their role and prestige. Specifically, military women will join the congress’s presidium and secretariat. They have also made important contributions to the preparations of personnel, documents, organization, art performances and other activities for the Congress.

Addressing the meeting, General Van hailed the Military Women’s Board and all-level women’s associations in the army for their active implementation of emulation movements and pragmatic achievements as well as comprehensive contributions to the agenda of the Congress.

He also asked the delegates to heighten their responsibility; well prepare contents for discussions during the Congress; and continue informing the outcome of the Congress to encourage emulation movements in each military agencies and units.
