GDP rolls out April missions

The GDP leaders agreed on the draft papers prepared by the GDP Office and confirmed that in March, the Party and political work in the whole military has been conducted in line with the military-defense missions, Party organization building and reality. Attentively, both scheduled and unscheduled programs have been carried out comprehensively and effectively.

Good results include raised training quality, pro-active dissemination and opinion orientation on new, complicated and sensitive issues, active fight against wrongful, inimical, distorted views, and firm upholding of the Party’s ideological battlefield in the military. Practical outcomes have been also recorded in performance of mass mobilization work, and social insurance. Troops have shown absolute trust in the leadership of the Party, State, Central Military Commission and Ministry of National Defense and stayed ready to undertake and complete all assigned tasks.

Regarding the missions for April, the GDP leadership laid stress on keeping a close watch on domestic, regional and international situations which directly impact officers and soldiers’ thought; enhancing political education and thought management; raising troops’ stance and responsibility before new situational developments; and active combat against hostile standpoints and protection of the Party’s ideological foundation.

An overview of the event

The leaders also underlined the continuity of quality, effective preparation for the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory and conferences to review the implementation of the Law on Officers of the Vietnam People’s Army.

They emphasized the direction to strengthen internal political security, protection of secrets, realize policies, improve operational quality of mass organizations and promote defense diplomacy activities.
