Opening the event, Gen. Nghia expressed his deep emotion upon returning to the GDP after five years and chairing the GDP’s monthly briefing in his new position. He highly appreciated the growth of the GDP’s affiliates and emphasized the higher image of GDP’s cadres and troops through achievements in journalism, culture, literature and arts, cinema, as well as through results in fulfilling political tasks across all areas.

The GDP leader noted the strong reform of meeting procedures, promotion of paperless meetings and focused discussions to enhance effectiveness.

According to the report delivered at the event, in November, the Party and political work  was implemented comprehensively and in depth. Troops overcame hardships to support disaster-hit residents in central localities, spreading the image of Uncle Ho’s soldiers among people, strengthening public trust in the Party, State, military, and affirming the military’s role as both working and combat forces in peacetime.

During the meeting, delegates discussed key points in the November report and proposed additional issues related to information and education, mass mobilization, culture and arts, security protection, and personnel work. They also proposed some solutions to improve task performance in December.

In his concluding speech, Gen. Nghia underscored the need to focus on strategic thinking, clearly defining priorities, and pro-actively carrying out tasks related to the Resolution adopted at the 12th Military Party Congress and the documents of the 14th National Party Congress.

He called for intensified efforts in dissemination and protection of the Party’s ideological foundation, launching a high-level campaign to support the 14th National Party Congress and the elections of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and people’s councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term. He underlined that it is both a core political mission and an arena to demonstrate the bravery, prestige, and exemplary image of military personnel in the new period.

He also asked for a comprehensive review of the implementation of the 12th Military Party Congress’s action program, strategic resolutions of the Central Military Commission, and new requirements arising from adjustments to local administrative apparatus, heightened combat readiness, and numerous external relations and science-technology missions of the military.

Given that December and early 2026 are a particularly important period, Gen. Nghia requested the GDP to take the lead in dissemination, political and ideological education, and observance of military discipline and decisively implement tasks serving the 14th National Party Congress and the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly election.

At the meeting, GDP leaders handed over certificates of merit from the Prime Minister, the Minister of National Defense, and the GDP Chief to outstanding collectives and individuals.
