Over the past years, GDII’s Party Committee has led, directed, and thoroughly implemented Resolution No.347, yielding comprehensive results across various areas. It has fulfilled its tasks of providing intelligence, conducting research, making forecasts, and offering strategic recommendations to higher authorities for effective situation handling. These efforts have significantly contributed to the successful implementation of the Party and State’s foreign policy, people-to-people diplomacy, and defense diplomacy, as well as to the maintenance of political security, stability, social order, and safety. They have also helped prevent conflicts and uphold a peaceful, stable environment for national development, thereby protecting the Fatherland proactively and from afar.

Lt. Gen. Tran Cong Chinh addressing the event |
Regarding future tasks, the CMC Permanent Member urged GDII’s Party Committee, chain of command, and leadership at all levels to continue implementing higher-level guidelines, policies, resolutions, and directives on safeguarding the Fatherland in the new context. They should be innovative in task execution, continue to reform their mindset, and develop a clear understanding of the position, role, and importance of research, forecasting, and strategic advisory work in fulfilling their mission.
Additionally, they should focus on building a specialized, elite, streamlined, and strong agency for this work, while fostering a team of researchers with firm political resolve and sharp strategic thinking.
