Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Sr. Lt. Gen. Nguyen Van Nghia, chaired the event, which was virtually connected to 148 locations across the entire military nationwide.

A report delivered at the meeting stressed that, in the first three months of this year, agencies, units, and schools in the military strictly embraced higher-level resolutions, directives, commands, and instructions. They made thorough preparations and carried out training and education work in a focused and coordinated manner. In addition, the entire military promoted regularity, managed discipline, and strictly observed combat readiness regulations effectively.

In his speech, Gen. Nghia applauded the agencies and units for their outstanding achievements in the first quarter and urged them to continue making breakthroughs in training and education in accordance with the Central Military Commission’s resolution on raising training and education quality for the 2023–2030 period and beyond.

The General Staff leader called for new training content, particularly for newly merged units, newly established units, and those equipped with new hardware.

He also directed related educational establishments to effectively train civilian students. Furthermore, academies and schools should research and propose the launch of several high-quality, specialized, and core academic programs, and promulgate standards for postgraduate training programs. Additionally, they should conduct quality assessments of educational institutions and training programs.

Gen. Nghia also reminded units to strictly observe regulations and discipline, intensify inspections of leaders at all levels, and enhance the role of military police forces in proactively preventing accidents and incidents. Moreover, close coordination among units, localities, families, and functional agencies should be strengthened to better manage troops and their morale. Public awareness campaigns should also be promoted regarding responsibility, traffic culture, and traffic safety.
