Defense leader works with Air Defense - Air Force Technical Institute

Over the past years, the institute has developed, implemented, and completed numerous scientific and technological research projects and tasks at various levels across multiple specialized fields. Most of the research outcomes have been effectively applied in units of the Air Defense - Air Force Service and throughout the military, contributing to the timely resolution of urgent issues related to the maintenance, operation, and mastery of technical equipment, thereby promoting the modernization of the service's technical capabilities.

Moreover, the institute has mastered many technologies; conducted research and produced various types of technical materials for the service's weapons and equipment; and manufactured several types of advanced technical equipment with high scientific value. These efforts have helped reduce dependence on imports, save budget resources, and ensure effective technical support for training and combat readiness.

In his remarks, Sr. Lt. Gen. Le Huy Vinh emphasized that the institute must clearly define its role as the leading technical research body for air defense and air force. Research projects should directly support the service’s technical needs, especially in the context of prolonged equipment usage and high-intensity combat scenarios.

An overview of the event

At the same time, the institute should promote comprehensive digital transformation in research, management, and the implementation of scientific and technological tasks—particularly by enhancing its capabilities in technical simulation and applying artificial intelligence (AI) and other emerging technologies in the research, design, testing, improvement, and development of weapon systems, among other areas.
