Free health check-ups for poor people in Soc Trang
PANO – A military-civilian medical point of the border station under the Border Guard Command of Soc Trang province, in association with a delegation of the Central Hospital under the Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy, provided free health check-ups and presented gifts to poor people in Vinh Hai commune on March 4.
Doctor of the Soc Trang provincial Border Guard Command provided free check-ups to people.
On the occasion, as many as 300 underprivileged people in the commune benefited from the program worth more than VND 30 million. In addition, the delegation also presented gifts, worth VND 200,000 each, including necessities to needy local people.
This is an annual activity of the Soc Trang provincial Border Guard force, aiming to perform the unit's responsibility for poor locals , strengthening military-civilian ties, holding firm to political stability as well as promoting socio-economic development and ensuring security and defense.
