Flag-saluting ceremony held at Lung Cu National Flagpole during Tet
PANO - On January 29 (or the lunar New Year’s first day), at Lung Cu National Flagpole in Lung Cu commune, Dong Van district, Ha Giang province, Lung Cu Border Post held a New Year’s flag-raising ceremony.
Under the national flag, the anthem resonated in unison, blending with the wind of the karst plateau and the light drizzle of spring rain. This added to the solemn, sacred, and majestic atmosphere of the New Year’s flag-raising ceremony, evoking deep emotions and pride among all attendees.
Lung Cu National Flag Tower, located in Lung Cu commune, Dong Van district, Ha Giang province, was recognized as a national historical site in 2009. Perched atop Dragon Mountain at nearly 1,500 meters above sea level, it stands as a proud symbol of Vietnam's sovereignty.
After the flag-raising ceremony, Nguyen Tien Dung, Secretary of the Dong Van district Party Committee, extended New Year greetings to all officers, soldiers, and local residents. He reaffirmed the commitment to fulfilling tasks in the New Year and wished the local authorities, armed forces, and people of Lung Cu a joyful and prosperous New Year while remaining mindful of their political responsibilities.

The New Year’s flag-raising ceremony at Lung Cu Border Post was a proud tribute to national independence, embodying the spirit of self-reliance, resilience, and determination among officers, soldiers, Youth Union members, and all Vietnamese citizens. It also marked a meaningful start to the celebrations of the 95th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - 2025) and celebrate Spring, reinforcing the commitment to successfully fulfilling political tasks in the district.
