Specifically, ships operated by these squadrons are newly-built with good quality. Crew-members are basically trained, capable of operating the ships and mastering provided equipment. In additions, squadrons’ members have collaborated with local naval forces to perform their duties in key waters, conduct patrols and dissemination work to raise fishermen’ awareness of adherence to maritime law enforcement and anti-IUU fishing. They have also given warnings to foreign vessels illegally fishing in Vietnam’s waters and prevented Vietnamese vessels from illegally encroaching on foreign waters.
