During the resistance war against the U.S. imperialists, Construction site 6501, codenamed V127 (now Factory Z127), was established on May 6, 1966, with the task of researching, manufacturing, and producing weapons and ammunition to support the Southern battlefield, contributing to the country’s victory.

Promoting its tradition, Factory Z127 has reorganized, modernized its technology, and invested in new production lines, successfully fulfilling its assigned tasks. The Party Committee, chains-of-command, and all officers and staff of the factory have upheld the spirit of solidarity, self-reliance, and resilience, building a strong and clean Party organization and a comprehensively-strong, typical and exemplary unit.
Recognizing its outstanding achievements, the Party, State of Vietnam and State of Laos have honored Factory Z127 with many noble awards, including the title “Hero of People’s Armed Forces.”
At the ceremony, Sr. Lt. Gen. Pham Hoai Nam presented the title “Hero of the People's Armed Forces” to the factory.
