PANO – Lieutenant-General Pham Xuan Hung, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, chaired a conference on June 6th to review the results of the examination management and education-training work in military academies and universities in the whole army in the 2010-2013 period.

Over the past three years, under the direct guidelines of the Defence Ministry and the General Staff, 24 departments and committees for managing examination and ensuring education-training quality were set up. They effectively contributed to building a regular and scientific bank of exam questions and answers, and heightening the sense of responsibility of lecturers and cadets in conducting exams and tests and implementing regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Thanks to strict inspection during tests and exams, the whole-army academies and universities have strictly implemented the campaign “Say ‘No’ to negative phenomena in exams and exaggeration of academic results”.

In the upcoming time, the military academies and universities should continuously instruct and enhance professionalism and political stance of officers in charge of managing examination and ensuring education-training quality; draw up more professional instruction documents; promote inspection work in tests, exams and education and training; as well as collect feedback from cadets and others, so as to perform their assigned tasks better.
