At the meeting, Deputy Chief of the General Department of Political Affairs Lt. Gen. Do Xuan Tung reported that all preparations for the congress have been basically completed.

Delegates discussed and reached consensus on key preparatory works, such as finalizing draft documents, reviewing security and safety measures, planning information dissemination work before, during, and after the congress, ensuring logistics supply, agreeing on the timing of the congress, approving the agenda for the preparatory and official sessions, and nominating delegates to the 14th National Party Congress, as well as other key tasks.

In his concluding speech, Gen. Giang emphasized the need to focus on completing several tasks to ensure the best possible conditions for the success of the 12th Military Party Congress.

He asked for thorough refinement of the detailed scenarios for each session of the congress, with more time allocated for delegates to discuss and contribute opinions to the draft congress documents and the draft documents for submission to the 14th National Party Congress.

The defense chief also urged relevant agencies and units and assigned officials to promote high sense of responsibility, promptly and carefully review each task to ensure the success of the congress, demonstrating high political determination and creating new momentum for the 2025-2030 term.

Also at the meeting, the CMC’s Standing Board decided on several other important issues.
