PANO - Nguyen Van Tu, Head of the Military Command of Tien Thanh commune, Phan Thiet City, Binh Thuan province and his son, Nguyen Viet Tuan, the unit’s Deputy Head under the assistance of local forces and people have bravely arrested a wanted criminal hiding in the locality.

The criminal, named Vu Van Trinh, 43, in Dong Nai province was handed over to Tien Thanh communal public security. Earlier, Dong Nai provincial Public Security had issued a wanted notice for Trinh.

Having returned from the military service in 1981, Nguyen Van Tu, former soldier of Border Post 448 of Binh Thuan provincial Border Guard, joined militia force of Tien Thanh commune. Over the past time, he has successfully fulfilled assigned tasks. In 2002, he was appointed Commander of Tien Thanh commune’s Military Command.

Nguyen Viet Tuan, Tu’s son, after graduating from high school in 2007, volunteered to join mobile militia force. Since then, he has completed all assigned tasks. As a result, in September 2008, Tuan was admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam and then was assigned to the unit’s deputy head.

Since 2011, Nguyen Van Tu and his son have participated in arresting criminals and in dealing with security violations in the locality as well as actively joined search and rescue missions.

Chairman of the People’s Committee of Tien Thanh commune Tong Duy Manh highly appreciated their brave deed, a valuable contribution to building the commune’s militia unit. The father and son are loved and admired by local people and comrades.
