Dinh Hoa district continues embellishing historical relic site
PANO – Major General Le Hien Van, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics, worked with a mission of the People’s Committee of Dinh Hoa district, Thai Nguyen province on April 27 in Hanoi. The working session looked into the preparation for activities to mark 70 years since late President Ho Chi Minh retreated to the ATK (a safe zone) in Thai Nguyen province in 1947 to continue leading the revolution.
Scene of the working session
On May 18, the district will host a consultation meeting to evaluate organizations’ and individuals’ support for the development of this revolutionary land. The same day, historical witnesses will gather in Khau Ty, where President Ho Chi Minh first set foot on the land in 1947.
On May 19, Thai Nguyen province will hold a meeting to celebrate the 70 years since President Ho Chi Minh retreated to the ATK to continue leading the resistance war against the French colonists (May 20, 1947).
Gen. Van said that during the resistance war, Dinh Hoa was an important location where President Ho Chi Minh and the Party led the Vietnamese revolution, contributing to the final victory of the resistance war against the French invaders. Therefore, helping the locality in its development is one of the important tasks of the military.
Over the past years, military units have held numerous “return-to-the-roots” activities in the district, contributing to consolidating the military-civilian relation.
At the meeting, General Van assigned the Department of Information and Training to working with relevant agencies to make estimations of the costs of embellishment projects for approval.
