Deputy Defense Minister pays Tet visits to units in Quang Ninh province

Sr. Lt. Gen. Le Duc Thai presents gifts from the CMC and the MND to officers and soldiers of the Quang Ninh Provincial Public Security.

Joining the delegation were representatives of the leadership of the Vietnam Border Guard Command, the Military Region 3 Command, the Office of the Central Military Commission, and several functional agencies under the MND.

At units under the Quang Ninh Provincial Military Command, including Po Hen Border Post, the Border Post of the Mong Cai International Border Gate, the Organ of the Quang Ninh Provincial Border Guard Command, the Defensive Area Command Region 1-Quang Ha, the Organ of the Quang Ninh Provincial Military Command, and the Quang Ninh Provincial Public Security, Sr. Lt. Gen. Le Duc Thai listened to brief reports from their leaders on the results of task performance in recent times and on combat readiness during the period before, during, and after the Tet  Holiday 2026.

The delegation presents Tet gifts to policy beneficiary families and disadvantaged households in Hai Son commune, Quang Ninh province.

Sr. Lt. Gen. Le Duc Thai praised provincial units for strengthening defense postures and effectively restructuring local administrative agencies. He ordered these units to maintain combat readiness and advise local authorities on building defensive areas. He also emphasized the need for close coordination with functional forces to secure borders and islands, ensuring no "surprise" situations arise.

The Deputy Minister further directed units to guarantee social order for a peaceful Tet holiday while improving the welfare and morale of personnel. Key priorities include safe holiday activities, comprehensive unit building, and thorough preparation for 2026 conscription and training cycles.

Earlier, Sr. Lt. Gen. Le Duc Thai and the delegation offered incense in tribute to fallen heroes at Po Hen National Historical Site in Hai Son commune, Quang Ninh province, and presented 60 Tet gifts to policy beneficiary families and disadvantaged households in Hai Son commune.
